Lycopolis in Plutarch’s On Isis and Osiris

Wepwawet (the God of Lycopolis) is in Plutarch:

“Even today the inhabitants of Lycopolis are the only people among the Egyptians that eat sheep; for the wolf, whom they hold to be a god, also eats it.”
