I published a poem in a quarterly ezine called Isian News!  Isian News is the ezine of the Fellowship of Isis, an international, inter-religious goddess-spirituality organization.  So I download the PDF to see my poem and read other people’s works and I find…a section about me.
They had a list of my books and my book banner from my website on there!  And they had such kind words to say about my work!

Review: Auset Egyptian Oracle

This is a review of Auset Egyptian Oracle Cards by Elisabeth Jensen and Illustrated by Marie Klement.  First off I have to say I love the art.  The cards are gorgeous.  The gods and goddesses are depicted in very traditional, ancient Egyptian styles and motifs.  They are absolutely stunning!  (I do prefer this art style, so I am completely biased here).  The only card I did not like the image of was the Sirius card.

I am the Goddess of the Star,

Sopdet, Sirius

I am the Goddess of the Moon

When it is Full

When it is New

I am the Goddess of the Sun

The Solar Eye, the Fierce Goddess

I wield Flame, Magic and Blade

I am the Lioness, the Leopard, the Cobra

I am the Avenging Eye

I am the Lioness appeased at the Isheru-Lake

I am the Cobra whose tears created Humankind

I am the Raging One, I am the Pacified Lady

I am the Wandering Eye

I am the Goddess who returns and departs

I am the Sun as it moves throughout the Year

Days grow longer, Days get shorter

as I leave and return, as I return and leave;

This is My cycle

as the Goddess of the Solstice

in the Winter and Summer

And this too is My cycle

as Sopdet appears and departs from view

as the Moon reflects Ra’s light

as it waxes and wanes

All of these cycles are Mine

as the Eye of Ra.

I Will Aid You

Do you remember the promise I made you?

You will never be harmed for loving Me.

This is still here.

This is still now.

I am the Goddess who made the Gods

I am Sopdet, the Star

Shining Bright in the Darkness

I am the Light that guides the way to yourself.

The parts you have lost I can regain.

But you must call out to Me.

For I am the Mother of Heru

and as I healed My son, I made this declaration:

Those who come to Me for My aid

I will help you as I have My son

I will help you like I helped My son.

Everyone is Heru.

Male,  Female,  Third Gender.  Transgender.

All People.

For a King represents all in His Kingdom

And Heru is the King of the People

Heru represents them all.

I am the Goddess of the Throne.

I am the Goddess of Life.

I aid the disenfranchised.

I aid all who call out My Name.

So call on Me

and I will come.

Give Me an offering

no matter how small,

More Philae!

So, Hermann  Junker began recording Inscriptions from the Temple of Philae, which became his book Der grosse Pylon des Tempels der Isis in Philae and Hermann Junker along with Erich Winter published this book Philae II Das Geburtshaus des Tempels der Isis in Philae.   I translated from these two books for the Temple of Philae section in Lady of Praise, Lady of Power.  

Now, finally, there is a volume three!  Holger Kockelmann (author of Praising the Goddess) and Erich Winter now have published this book Philae III: Die Zweite Ostkolonnade Des Tempels Der Isis in Philae (CO II und CO II K).  

I am so excited to read and (hopefully translate from) this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aset’s Magic: Anger Management

I got this heka from Aset.

Items Needed

  • Image or statue of Aset or Sekhmet
  • Offerings
  • Paper
  • Pen (not red)
  • Bowl of water
  • Salt

Pray to Aset and/or Sekhmet-Mut to help you with your anger.

Give an offering.

Write down what you are angry about.  Crumple the paper and put it in the water.

Sprinkle salt over it.

Pray to the Goddesses to relieve your anger.

Pour out the water outside and throw the paper in the trash.

Take the trash out as soon as possible.

Thank the Goddesses and eat the offerings.
